Studentlab is supporting the consultants of Serwise AG in developing a data warehouse for a large property management organization. This means that the customer’s data is sourced from different source systems. Then the data is staged in a Microsoft SQL Server Database and finally transformed in a user oriented dimensional datamart.
Studentlab is using industry standard modeling techniques, like dimensional modeling based on Kimball Groups ‘The Data Warehouse Toolkit’. Many Reporting, Business Analytics or Performance Management Tools can then read this nicely prepared data.
Typically customers use environments like IBM Cognos Analytics, iBM Cognos Planning Analytics, Qlikview, Tableau, Excel or others to present the data to its users.
